For Kids: Community Class
Tuesdays @ 5:15pm – 6:15pm FREE!
The LAVA Studio opens its doors for kids ages 5 to 12 to practice the fundamentals of LAVA’s work, including handstands, tumbling, movement, composition, partnering and group pyramids, and aerials.
Community Class is an opportunity for beginners, newcomers, and experienced students to come together in an atmosphere that is diverse, supportive, and available to all.
Participation is first-come, first-served. People generally begin lining up outside the LAVA studio door around 5pm, but please do not ring the bell; we'll open the door when the space is set and class is ready to begin.
Magma was born out of LAVA as our junior company comprised of girls ages 5 to 18. Students who regularly attend Community Class and show spirit and growth as they move through the program are sometimes invited to join Magma. Magma performs at the LAVA Studio three times a year in Magma Mix, as well as often joining LAVA performances in theaters throughout New York City.
